Hey there, friend! I’m Lindsay and I have a little story to share with you. Please take a moment, grab your favorite drink, ignore the laundry, snuggle up in your favorite blanket and give it a listen.
Once upon a time, there was a beautiful, smart, talented, and capable woman named (insert your name here). To those on the outside looking in, it might have seemed like she had a great life. Whether it was a good career, a home, a family, or any other wonderful thing, her life looked content.
But for some reason, she couldn’t see her worth and unending potential like others could. Sometimes she didn’t love her home and she felt alone in caring for it. Other times she wanted more time for fun things, but she ALWAYS felt like she was running behind and on empty with no motivation. And at other times she felt unhealthy, exhausted, sad, and couldn’t appreciate and care for her own wellness.
She wanted to accomplish everything on her to-do list, but when her willpower fizzled out, she felt like a failure and just sank deeper into her depression. She was unable to see that perfection wasn’t the goal. The goal was simply to make progress, to appreciate where she was in her journey, and accept her abilities.
She needed some help and she needed it fast!
One day, she came across a little blog called “The Happier Mom Life”. It was created by a woman who understood very well that sometimes finding the motivation to finish one’s goals is really difficult, especially when there were so many other duties vying for their attention. She wanted to help women stop putting unrealistic expectations on themselves, see their worth, and learn what it takes to finally reach their potential. She wanted to help women who were paralyzed by depression, anxiety, fear, lack of confidence, and lack of direction, to gain hope for their future and trust in themselves.
At last, our hero had found the help she was looking for! This was it! This woman, Lindsay Jenkins, was going to guide her through what she needed to know! She was going to share all her tools to help our hero improve her wellness. Whether it was running a more organized home, learning to improve her health and relationships, or gaining the confidence to reach for her dreams. This helped her figure out that sometimes it was necessary to give to herself first so that she could better give to others.
Have no fear, girlfriend! Just like our hero in this story, I want to guide you through exactly what I did (it took me so long to get here and since hindsight is 20/20, I want to save you all that time). I’m talking all about decluttering and organizing your home, improving your mental health and wellness, working together as a team with your family or friends (as your support system), even changing your mindset, and helping you cope with things like depression and anxiety. I’ll also give you routines, guides, and so much other information to help you in following through on your goals.
I believe that mental health concerns like depression or anxiety lead us to not follow through on the goals we set for ourselves and our families. It’s taken me about 25 years to finally figure this out, and now that my kids are grown, I can look back and give you all the secrets you’ll need to know to finally get your mental health under control and to feel like you’re no longer living in chaos.
Seriously, being a mother is already so difficult. If you have to deal with depression, anxiety, or anything else on top of all the “normal” trials of life…it can feel like you’ll never win! It shouldn’t be that way, though! It should be full of joy and fun! You should feel like you’re a success even if everything isn’t perfect!
Your lifestyle should bring you joy, not stress. You should feel empowered and worthy of great things because you are a woman of GREAT WORTH! You deserve to be happy! You deserve to have time to do the things you enjoy. You deserve greatness and grace and you deserve to see your potential.
So, now I have a challenge for you, lady. Do you feel like the hero in this story? Do you feel like you need to make a change in your own life, but you don’t know where to begin? Then here’s what I want you to do:
Click on the picture below and download the free printable, Creating Your Happier Motherhood. This is a starter kit that’s meant to empower you and help you gain control of your life. It’s only the first step, though. The rest of the information you’ll need to live your best life will be found in our podcast episodes, on my Instagram profile (@minimal_mama_lindsay), and in future courses. I have the joy of creating my podcast, Raising the Jenkinses, with my amazing husband, Mike. He brings humor (and quite a bit of wisdom) and balances out my more serious side. We have a ton of fun together and I think you’ll really enjoy listening to us.
Now that you’ve gotten your starter kit, here’s the conclusion of the story:
After (insert your name here) decided it was time to make a change, she decided to allow Lindsay to guide her on her journey. She realized she couldn’t do it alone (really, don’t we ALL need help? I know I do!), so she decided to take action!
Once she implemented the ideas Lindsay gave her – which led to even more ideas of her own! – she finally felt in control. She was able to learn how to take control of her surroundings by getting rid of the excess clutter in her home and life.
Her home was peaceful and ordered. Her family was happier because Mom had more time for fun activities and she wasn’t constantly worried about the things she “had” to do. Her family worked together as a team and grew closer because of it.
She realized her worth didn’t revolve around a perfect home or perfect children. She was worthy simply because she was a loved daughter of God, a loved mother, a loved wife, daughter, granddaughter, niece, and friend. She knew that even on the hard days, she’d still get through because there was so much beauty waiting for her in the good days.
She also finished the projects she started and gave herself grace if they weren’t done perfectly or if she needed to start again to find a different way to accomplish them. She didn’t see herself as a failure anymore, but rather a great work in progress.
I want this story for you, friend. I’m here to help you achieve it. Let’s do this together!
Your friend to the finish,
